I recently stayed at a hotel in Florence that was a little bit distance from the center, but it was actually quite nice to be on the edge rather than in the main tourist center. The room was excellently clean with a nice bed, and the bathroom was modern and clean with good quality towels. The staff was very attentive and polite, they even helped me book a few restaurants. it was a great experience.

The only downside was that the shower pressure was a bit low, but I heard that's quite common in many European hotels.

We stayed at a hotel near the river which was a short walk to the main attractions. The location was convenient, as we could easily explore the city center on foot or catch a bus. The rooms were clean and functional, with comfortable beds and a well-maintained bathroom. The service was polite and pleasant, and we were welcomed with a glass of iced water upon arrival. The breakfast offered a good variety of options to start our day.

The lighting in the rooms was too dim, making it a bit difficult to see properly.
